Approximately 30,000 people work in the development district. About 10,000 are employed at the UNT Health Science Center. Another 8,000 work in the museums. The remaining 12,000 employees work in an array of office and retail businesses. Fort Worth Cultural District is one of the largest employment centers in Tarrant County. The largest is the city’s central business district which has about 40,000 employees.
